Our story
Crossover Law Group is a new type of a law firm specialising in Immigration Law. We founded the firm to ensure that top quality migration advice is delivered. Our name is derived from our purpose to help you crossover to the other side where you can achieve your dreams. Our mission is to advise you on the best solution from the start whilst providing efficient, transparent and clear migration advice to individuals and businesses. We were listed as a finalist Innovative law firm of the year and NewLaw Firm of the year in the 2022 Australasian Law Awards as well as Innovative Law Firm of the Year in 2021 Women in Law Awards.
We also have an extensive experience in complex migration court cases and review work. If your visa is refused or cancelled, do not give up, we will be by your side at the Tribunal/ Court.

Our team
Marial Lewis
Principal Lawyer and Founder
Marial is our founder and is one of Australia’s top migration lawyers. She is an admitted solicitor in NSW and is only one of 52 accredited specialists in Immigration law by the Law Society of NSW and less than 100 nationally. Marial is a lecturer in the Graduate Diploma of Migration Law as well as a teaching fellow in the Juris Doctor and Undergraduate Law program teaching Administrative Law and Ethics in one of the top Law schools in Australia. Marial was awarded the 2022 and 2021 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award (two years in a row from over 1200 finalists in both years) as well as the winner of the 2020 Young Migration Lawyer of the Year by the Law Council of Australia. That is in addition to her listed as a finalist in multiple other prestigious national awards including Partner of the year, Rising star of the year, 30 under 30 in Migration law, Regional lawyer of the year and in Women in Law Awards. Marial has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW as well as a Master of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
Marial comes with over 12 years experience in the legal field. She was a partner in a boutique specialised immigration law firm prior to founding Crossover Law Group. She achieved successful results for hundreds of clients along the years including in complex cases, clients in detention, review applications at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court and the High Court of Australia. Marial has a deep corporate understanding and works with start ups, entrepreneurs, medium and multinational corporates advising on staff movement around the globe and their retention. Marial also has experience working with professionals such as doctors, accountants, nurses, IT professionals including others requiring immigration advice. She also works with High Net Wealth Individuals for Business and investors visas.
Marial is on the Immigration Law committee of the International Bar Association and the Law Society Specialist Accreditation Committee and is a member of the NSW Law Society and Human Rights Young Lawyers committee.
